The Blood..Power and Victory in Jesus!

Updated: Jul 7, 2022

“…Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”

Salvation has come to men, and the power of the kingdom of God and the authority of his Christ has also come to all. It has truly come but can only be accessed by the spotless blood of the Lamb that was slain, and by the testimony of believing the power therein.

It’s just like being offered a nice-paying job. But the CEO says, “Look, you’ve got to have XYZ qualification to have this job”. It’s already there for your taking but you need to fulfill some requirements to receive it.

That’s what the blood of Jesus has done. It conquered a whole system of darkness and destruction and gives the keys to whoever is willing to come in His name and the priceless, spotless blood of Jesus. That’s all the requirements right there!

If we must understand that the spotless blood of Jesus is so powerful in itself, we may need to understand two things first:

Number one is the power of blood (any blood). And the second thing is the power of the spotless, sinless blood.

Now, blood in itself is already a powerful substance and commodity God made. When God made blood – not just human blood – He put so much into it. The life of every creature lies in its blood. Shall we see what God says about blood in Leviticus 17:11 ESV? It says:

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.”

Of course, we understand that the blood of animals does not give the perfection of purification man needs. Why? Because they just couldn’t. There was something better, and God needed that.

Hence, we come to the next point: The need for Jesus’ spotless blood – the blood of the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world.

The blood had to be spotless to do what the insufficient blood of bulls and goats could not do. The blood of Jesus does so much on a whole exponential level.

Firstly, because it is the untainted blood of the Son of God. And secondly, the blood of a sinless man – Jesus never sinned.

Medical science tells us that the blood of a child comes from the father. But Jesus had no earthly father, hence His blood was divine. Making Him a truly sinless being since sin is in the blood of the man, and not the woman. The woman doesn’t give blood to the child. That’s amazing science! Now, you understand why Jesus’ blood was really untainted. The Holy Spirit fathered Him. (Luke 1:35).

Hebrews 9:13-14 makes this crystal clear. It says that if the blood of bulls and goats could do so much, how much more the blood of Jesus that can rescue us to the uttermost.

To summarize The mercies of God have been revealed in abundance by the initiation of the new covenant through the blood of Jesus.

Think about how the blood of animals under the Levitical order could even purify the priests and let them serve in the presence of God, also standing in for the people’s sins.

What do you think the blood of the Son of God will do?

In His sinlessness, He lived and died. He was crucified, and His sinless blood was offered to God upon the heavenly altar, a pleasing sacrifice without comparison.

And just as His authority over the kingdom of darkness was without limit, so have we received.

His seed lives in us, making us just as He was and is – holy and a king.

The Holy Spirit is the power of God and He lives in you and me. If the same Spirit gave Jesus so much, then we are candidates to receive these same dimensions of wisdom and authority.

The devil is a defeated foe. Hallelujah!

Your power and authority were activated by the potent, sinless blood of Jesus Christ.

If Jesus shed His blood, then you have all authority in heaven and earth, just as He had. Hallelujah!
